Why Feralta

A Closer Way to Experience Origin.

Feralta releases a small number of traceable microlots from Cauca, one harvest at a time. Each coffee stays connected to the people, place and decisions behind it—giving you a more intimate way to discover what origin can taste like.

Crafted at Origin

Each Feralta microlot is selected, processed, evaluated, roasted and packed in Cauca, Colombia—keeping the coffee close to the people, decisions and place that shape its character.

01

Selective Harvesting

Coffee cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, with careful selection beginning at the farm.

02

Controlled Processing

Each microlot follows a defined process, with fermentation and post-harvest decisions managed to preserve clarity, sweetness and the distinct character of the coffee.

03

Careful Drying

Each lot is dried gradually and monitored for stable moisture, helping protect quality and preserve the character developed during processing.

04

Quality Control

Every Feralta microlot is cupped, graded and evaluated at origin before it moves forward.

05

Roasted in Small Batches

Roasting is developed for each selected release to express the character of the coffee rather than impose a uniform profile.

06

Packed at Origin

Roasted coffee is packed and quality checked in Cauca, keeping the finished release connected to where it began.

A Note from Our Founder

Feralta is rooted in Sotará, Cauca, where my family’s connection to the land goes back generations. That connection is why we have chosen to dedicate Feralta exclusively to coffees from Cauca.

By returning to the same region, harvest after harvest, we can gain a deeper understanding of its coffees, stay close to the people and places behind them, and share how each harvest evolves over time.

I hope every Feralta release gives you a deeper sense of Cauca—and a reason to return for the next harvest.
